Accuracy of information pertaining to our wagyu embryos is very important to us. If you find an error, please let us know.
On the Rowe Wagyu ranch, we focus primarily on red wagyu. We have sold down our numbers of black cows for embryo production to just two. That should express what we think of Ms Hirashigetayasu 13F. The sire of ROWE Ms Hirashigetayasu 13F is Hirashigetayasu J2351. He has become a very desirable sire to use to produce larger animals while maintaing high marbling. He adds the size while retaining meat quality. It also helps that on the dam side of 13F there is 068, Michifuku (2x), Kitaguni Jr., and Kikuhana. She is a solidly built cow that has tested genetic carrier free.
BAR R Shigeshigetani 30T is the sire in the mating for these wagyu embryos. Jerry Reeves has represented 30T as one of the finest bulls his ranch has ever produced and we wanted to utilize some of these black wagyu genetics. We saw this bull a few of summers ago and he is a beautiful animal. Tested genetic carrier free.
MS Hirashigetayasu R13F was developed as a growth animal with some good meat genetics as part of the package.
Her sire, Hirashigetayasu, has become a very sought after sire after demonstrating increasing size while delivering great marbling when crossed with a female with high marbling genetics.
13F is just such an animal and we wanted to utilize that here at Rowe Wagyu. She has 068 (leader in U.S. marbling for years), Michifuku (considered the gold standard for meat quality), and Kitaguni Jr.(a leader with Lone Mountain in marbling) all on her maternal side. If you are a breeder wanting to increase size while maintaining great meat characteristics she is black wagyu genetics to consider. Genetic carrier free.
D64 is one of the most popular HOMOZYGOUS POLLED bulls in the breed. D64 Has 451 progeny currently registered In the American Wagyu Association Herdbook. The legendary bull BAR R 52Y is his sire. This is a fine bull to use and having all his calves turn out polled is a big plus.
BAR V Nakagishi 55D has an unusual pedigree. She is the result of a brother/sister mating with Nakashi 5 as the mother of both. Nakagishi 5 was included in World K's last importation. Nakagishi 5, who is a balanced blend of Itozakura and Kedaka lines, has only four recorded offspring, and 56T is the only bull from this cow. BAR R, who created this cow, was trying to lock up the genetics in a cow that almost no one in the world had used.

For the dam of this mating we used ROWE Ms Hirashigetayasu R10E FB32370. The embryo that produced her came from the Celina Cattle Company and we were glad to get her. Hirashigetayasu, R10E's sire, is a bull to build a Wagyu herd around. Hirashigetayasu has a large frame with balanced meat and growth characteristics. R10 E's dam was sired by a clone of 151 with 068 and Kikuyasu 400 on the bottom side.
Tested genetic carrier free.
We regard TF 148 Itoshigenami as one of the three best animals imported from Japan. In Australian reports as well as the Lone Mountain 2017 Sire Performance Study, he comes in among the top ten bulls (usually within the top 5) for IMF, USDA grade and marble fineness. To put it simply, this bull is a great choice for siring animals for meat quality. B3F, CHSF, CL16F, F11C (calves have a chance of being F11 C)

In our search for a new sire for embryos to offer our customers, we found this one that Mr. Jim Long of Rockin 711 had available. He is described as, “A special young bull. Ranked #1 out of 35 fullblood black Wagyu bulls for average daily gain in the Summer 2017 Elite Wagyu Performance Test, gaining 3.94 lbs. per day during the test, which is almost unheard of for a fullblood Black Wagyu bull. And he also ranked above average in ribeye area, ribeye area/weight ratio, rump fat, rib fat, as well as ultasound IMF%. He ranked #2 out of all 35 fullblood black Wagyu bulls, for the average of all of the key measurement areas. Top carcass genetics and proven outstanding early growth along with outstanding directly-measured carcass attributes. Sired by 30T a sire many believe is possibly better than his famous sire Shigeshigetani. S
Out of one of our top donor cows, TAK Ms Itozuru 069, who is directly sired by the famous Itozuru Doi (known as the highest and finest marbling of the Fujioshi line that is also known for excellent size and growth as well as excellent maternal characteristics), out of a cow with Kitaguni Jr., Fukutsuru-068, Michifuku, Kikuhana, Kikuyasu-400, and originally out of the foundation cow JVP Chisahime 662, who’s paternal grand-sire is the famous Japanese sire Yasutani Doi, and who’s maternal great-grand-sire is the famous Japanese sire Dai 7 Itozakura. This bull has been entered into a progeny test along with four other bulls, using both Itoshigenami TF148 as well as his sire Shigeshigetani 30T as reference sires, in order to “prove” his merit, and results are expected from the harvested offspring carcasses in early 2022. In addition, this bull has been entered into a second progeny test administered by a third-party, using Shigeshigetani 30T as the reference sire, and results are expected from this second test in late 2022. SCD/Tenderness is AA/8. Free of the known genetic recessive disorders”.
The sire of Kay, Shigefuku J1822, is a son of Dai 20 Hirashige who is a son of Kedaka. Shigefuku is a bull bred from within the main Kedaka lines and inherits strongly for Eiko. He also exhibits higher growth rates, body volume and desirable coat type. The Kedaka line was formed in the Tottori Prefecture from descendants of the sire Kedaka born in 1959 from the Eiko strain. Dai 20 Hirashige is an important sire of the Kedaka line. His semen is still used although the price per straw is higher than $1000 each. Kay also has Kitaguni Jr. and 151 on the maternal side of her lineage. She is an AA6 cow and free of genetic carriers.
